There were no directions with it but then, I didn't get any instructions with the last pair of pants I bought either and I figured those out too. (The zipper goes in the back, right?)

Instead of whining about it it being wobbly I, guess what? TIGHTENED THE BOLTS! It's as solid as a single piece. NOTE:use a wrench, actually best to use two,for this procedure. (They're not included. You must provide your own.)

CAUTION:If you drive with the bikes unsecured they 'flop around'! It's a good idea to spend a few of the hundred or more dollars you saved buying this carrier for some bungee cords. (They're elastic 'ropes' with plastic hooks on each end.) Experiment a little, you'll figure out how to make the bikes nice and secure. A little styrofoam will protect them at points of contact.

With a little common sense, time and muscle you'll be happily hauling your bikes to your favorite riding trail. But then, as Ambrose Bierce defined it: common sense - The the most uncommon thing in the world.

(More customer reviews)This mirror is fantastic.I bought it to replace a helmet mounted mirror when the stem broke on the helmet mount.I can't tell you how much better I like this bar-end mirror.It's much easier to find this mirror out of the corner of my eye, and it provides a very good view of what's behind me, both in the traffic lanes and directly behind me in the bike lane.

I did have to mutilate the grip on my handlebar to remove the plug and cut out and opening for the mirror, so just trying it out requires some commitment, but once it is mounted the installation looks clean.

I didn't have any significant trouble with the installation.The directions are a little bit unclear about what to do with piece that goes inside the bar (the directions say to "secure" it, but you need to leave it loose, securing only the nut, until it is inside the bar).If you look at the piece and think about how it's going to hold the mirror in place, it's pretty obvious what to do with it.

The mirror itself stays put very well on rides.It shakes a very little bit, but really onlylittle.The stability is surprisingly good for a piece for which it is so easy to adjust the angles.

All the parts can be replaced individually if broken for about $4 each plus shipping.

(More customer reviews)Just what I was looking for! The name may say Repair/Display stand, BUT I use it 95% for holding the bike when not in use. I will use it for cleaning, and maybe some repair. I needed a stand to store my mountain bike that does not have a kickstand. I've been leaning it against the wall when home, and against my vehicle when starting and finishing a ride. I've scraped the wall, scratched the vehicle (as the bike slid down) and in one really tricky move, managed to break a tail light. So something clearly needed to be done. I tried a less expensive model but it didn't work with my bike. But this stand has a rail type holder instead of the cheaper hook, on the bottom, and it is just perfect. Light and easy to take with me, but sturdy and supportive when in use.

(More customer reviews)I just used this carrier on a 1600-mile round trip from northern Illinois to North Carolina (on a 2005 Astro Van).On the return trip (September 14), we went through extreme hurricane force winds (aftermath from Hurricane Ike) of 75 MPH from all directions in Louisville, KY.The wind downed trees on the interstate, but the carrier held firmly and no rain entered despite an incredible amount of buffeting due to the winds.I was concerned that the sideways and up-and-down effects of severe buffeting might loosen the grips on the crossbar, but the grips were as tight when I arrived home as they were when I left home.I saw two top carriers that had separated from their vehicles and had been run over on I-65...that's how bad the wind was.

When I first got it it fit up well, but one of the saddles that sits on the cross rail broke.I called Thule customer service and they were very nice.They immediately sent four new saddles and said that I must have received one of their earlier units that had substandard saddles.They apparently discovered this recently and were very accommodating.I appreciate their fine customer service, although I am glad I had time to get the saddles before my trip.Suggest that you make certain that you have the most recent saddles.

(More customer reviews)I have used the bags for over a year for bicycle commuting to work and they provide ample space to haul a laptop computer on one side, and work-clothes, etc on the other side.There are 2 clamps on each bag for the rear rack, plus a swivel lock on the underside of the bag to hold them tight onto the rack. There is also a hook with an elastic cord on the bottom for each bag.I've ridden over 1,000 miles with the bags and they have not fallen off or come loose.The elastic cords on the top of the bags are useful to hold additional odd shaped items. The bags are water resistant, but if it's raining, some water may leak in from the bottom, so it's best to store a laptop computer in a plastic bag.
